Cross-entropy measure of uncertain variables
ross-entropy is a measure of the difference between two distribution functions. In order to deal with the divergence of uncertain variables via uncertainty distributions, this paper aims at introducing the concept of cross-entropy for uncertain variables based on uncertain theory, as well as investigating some mathematical properties of this concept. Several practical examples are also provided...
متن کاملQuadratic Cross Entropy of Uncertain Variables
Uncertainty theory is a branch of axiomatic mathematics based on normality, monotonicity, self-duality, countable subadditivity, and product measure axioms. In uncertainty theory this paper proposes a definition of quadratic cross entropy and the principle of minimum quadratic cross entropy. Based on the principle, an application in statistics and a numerical algorithm to estimate uncertain dis...
متن کاملElliptic entropy of uncertain random variables
Entropies of uncertain random variables are introduced to provide some kinds of quantitative measurement of the uncertainty. In chance theory, a concept of entropy for uncertain random variables has been defined by using logarithm. However, such an entropy fails to measure the uncertain degree of some uncertain random variables. For solving this problem, this paper firstly define the elliptic e...
متن کاملTriangular Entropy of Uncertain Variables
Entropy is a measure of the uncertainty associated with an uncertain variable. So far, entropy, quadratic entropy and sine entropy have been proposed for uncertain variables. This paper will propose a triangular entropy for uncertain variables, and verify its properties such as translation invariance and positive linearity.
متن کاملMaximum Entropy Principle for Uncertain Variables
The concept of uncertain entropy is used to provide a quantitative measurement of the uncertainty associated with uncertain variables. After introducing the definition, this paper gives some examples of entropy of uncertain variables. Furthermore this paper proposes the maximum entropy principle for uncertain variables, that is, out of all the uncertainty distributions satisfying given constrai...
